During Jesus Time we learned about Pentecost.  Pentecost is the day when God sent the Holy Spirit to breathe life into his Church so that His people could tell others about Jesus.  To help the children understand, I showed them a balloon before it had air. Which is like the church before God sent the Holy Spirit to "breathe" life into the people.  The people saw what looked like tongues of fire that came to rest above each one of them... then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.  Then I blew up the balloon... which was like the people after they were filled with the Holy Spirit.  They began telling everyone about Jesus, even if they didn't speak the same language.  Thousands of people learned about Jesus.  I sent home a color sheet to help your children remember the story.  It is just for fun and is yours to keep at home:)

Bike Day:

Will be Monday, May 21st....  Please bring your child's bike/trike and his/her helmet to school.  The children may not ride without a helmet.  We will review safety tips before we begin riding:)
It may be easier to bring your child's bike in through the side doors.  The side doors are on the left side of the building.... the 1st sets of doors lead right to our classroom.  We will park the bikes right outside the classroom.
