Today was a busy morning!  We started our day by practicing for a fire drill.  Today was just a practice, but I wanted to let the children know what to expect when the main school has a fire drill.  Things like: it might be a loud sound, we stay calm and listen for direction, line up by the door, and how to exit the building. Everyone did EXCELLENT!! Way to go!!!
Next we went to gym where we got to do a variety of activities. Hop from hula hoop to hula hoop, roll on a mat and a sit-n-spin.  The children loved the variety of choice, but the sit-n-spin was a favorite.  After gym, we went outside.
Thanks you Brody for bringing Apples for our Fruit Day!!!  We read a book about baby farm animals as well as a flannel board story... 10 little piggies.
During Jesus time we learned more about Noah and about God's  special "sign": A RAINBOW!!!! God sent a rainbow to Noah so he would know He will kept His promise to never flood the world again.  The children made rainbows in class today as a reminder to us... God always keeps HIS promises!!!

*****FYI*****
If anyone is interested... Zion has a special ministry for young children.... LITTLE LAMBS!!! It is a special bible study class for children birth through 5 and their parent/ grandparent. We met on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Fridays of each month in the church basement(in the nursery).  It begins at 8:15 until 9:15.  When there is a 5th Friday, we take a field trip.....SO this Friday we are meeting at a Pumpkin Patch!!!  We would love to have you join us.
We will meet at 12 pm at Simply Amazing (off Highway N).  This is a wonderful place with a corn maze, pumpkins and animals for petting. If you would like more informations, please email me :)

Happy Monday:

Wow, what a busy Monday we had!!!  We enjoyed the beautiful day God has given us during outside time and then we went straight to Chapel.  The children did a wonderful job!! One of our favorite Chapel songs is:
"Let us go to the house of the Lord"
I was glad when they said to me
"Let us go to the house of the Lord"
I was glad when they said to me,
"Let us go to the house of the Lord"

After Chapel some of the children went with Mrs. Rouland to get their picture taken while the other half came back to the room with me.  We did a short Jesus time where we read a book about Noah.  We then ate snack and started making our fingerprint animals for our Ark.  Please look for it to be hanging in the hall near our classroom.  When the other children returned from pictures, they  ate snack and then heard the book about Noah.  Then they also added their fingerprint animals to our ark.
And before we knew it, it was time to clean up and go home!!! The day flew by!
