Aaron showing his baby Jesus!!!

I'm so proud of the class!!  They are doing a super job practicing for the Christmas Program!!
Here are the lines(we say it has a big group). If you would like, please say it with your child at home.

And now these greeting that we drew
we would like to share with you(open hands toward assembly)
Let's thank Jesus, God's own son(fold hands as if praying)
That he came for everyone!!(point to assembly)

During story time we read, Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett.  The children really enjoyed this story.  I had many children asking about the fox....... gingerbread baby is too smart for the fox and gets away.  This story has a fun and happy ending!!!  And the children are very excited to make their gingerbread houses next Weds.  Thanks so much to those who have donated items.  I really appreciate it!!!
We finished making our pinecone trees by decorating them with different colored buttons!!  Lots of fun!
Jesus time we reviewed what Advent means....... all the children answered PREPARING..... we are preparing for baby Jesus!!  We heard a story story about baby Jesus being born in a manger and then used the smartboard to create a manger scene.  We got to add Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, an angel, a Shepard, the wise men and some animals.  The children loved using the smartboard!!!

Christmas program is this Sunday at 4pm.  Please have your child in the church basement by 3:40. And please bring 2 dozen(store or homemade) cookies to share for the reception afterwards.  THANKS!!!
